LITTLETON, MA - Workers Credit Union was named the fourth best of more than 140 credit unions in Massachusetts on Forbes' eighth annual Best-In-State Credit Unions list.
“This affirmation from the public reflects our commitment to our membership and to building the greater community,” said Workers Credit Union CEO and President Jay Champion. “We thank our members for their trust and our employees for their dedication. We look forward to continuing to improve our products and services as one of the top Massachusetts credit unions.”
To determine the ranking, Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista and surveyed approximately 26,000 U.S. residents. Respondents were asked to rate their satisfaction and likelihood to recommend U.S.-based banks and credit unions where they held checking or savings accounts, had accounts within the last three years, or knew through friends and family. Participants also rated financial institutions on factors including trust, customer service, digital tools, quality of financial advice, and transparency and reasonableness of fees. Online-only institutions and larger institutions with branches in 15 or more states were excluded.
The Massachusetts chapter of the Cooperative Credit Union Association (CUNA) recently recognized Workers Credit Union with two first-place awards: The 2023 Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award for the credit union’s charitable program, Workers Kindness, and the 2023 Desjardins Adult Financial Education Award for the credit union’s financial education program, the Workers Way.
